Peace Corps or Kindergarten?

Dear Andrew is off to kindergarten at Kumbaya Academy. No, that's not REALLY the name of his school... just what my more mainstream friends lovingly refer to his new (environmentally focused, experiential learning) charter school.

His back to school list had no pencils and pens, no paper, no notebooks, no crayons, markers, no glue. His list included woolens, rain pants, hat, jacket, muck boots to the knee, snow pants, parka, two hats (wool and fleece), two sets of mittens/gloves, sun hat, water bottle, water bottle carrier...

We didn't back to school shop at Staples... we went back to school shopping at Campmor!
